Nile Horseback Safaris in Jinja Uganda

We offer a variety of horse rides along the edge of the River Nile and the surrounds. We keep beautiful calm natured Thoroughbred horses, all well schooled and very experienced for horseback trekking. Whether you are a novice or an experienced rider, we can accommodate you with the right horse for your ability. Popular horseriding safaris are the two-hour river and village rides or the wonderful luxury overnight package, staying at The Haven a beautiful riverside lodge.

There are few fences in the area we ride so we have access to all types of terrain from river frontage, forest, jungle, hill tops overlooking the Nile and Lake Victoria and the sugar and tea plantations in the area. So bring your camera for some amazing photography opportunities.

We are located in Naminya Village in Jinja with plenty of nearby accommodation. Our stables are oppoisite Bujagali falls on the Kampala side of the Nile, just 10 minutes drive out of Jinja town centre and an hour and quarter from Kampala. We can also arrange transport to and from our premises just contact us.

Our horse riding activities fit in with your overland/safari tour, or doing volunteer work with local charities or just filling in weekends for those working in Kampala. If you are looking for things to do with the kids, Nile Horseback Safaris also welcomes children to ride (6 years and above). For the non riders you can relax at our premises on our picnic table overlooking the Nile while the riders explore the villages and jungle on their unique horse riding experience.

It's an inexpensive way to see the real Uganda. We can also organise other recreational activities in Jinja or even a gorilla safari to the south west of Uganda.
